Maximum load

Maximum load

Load deflection tables

The loading abibily of GRP grating is – thanks to the use of glassfibre – extremely high. The extent of loading ability however depends on factors such as overall size fitted mesh, height and span.

safety first

GRP gratings will only collapse under extreme load. Nevertheless, it is important (for safety reasons) to take the maximum deflection into account. The maximum allowable deflection is 1% of the span. With a span of 1000 mm, grating can therefore bend to a maximum of 10 mm. Is the deflection too high? Then the height of the grating (thickness) must be adjusted or additional support has to be provided.
